Integrations
Connect your Shopify store and ad platform accounts to TrueTracked for complete attribution data. Integrations enable automatic product syncing, order webhook processing, and ad spend data collection.
Shopify
TrueTracked installs as a native Shopify app. The connection handles storefront tracking, checkout customer-events, order webhooks, and product catalog sync.
How to Connect
- Go to Settings > Integrations in your TrueTracked dashboard.
- Under Sites, click Connect on the Shopify card.
- Enter your Shopify store domain (e.g.
mystore.myshopify.com) and click Connect to Shopify. - You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize the app. Click Install to approve the requested permissions.
- Shopify redirects you back to TrueTracked with the integration connected and a 2-step Setup Guide ready to walk you through enabling tracking.
After Install: Setup Guide
After the OAuth handshake, TrueTracked auto-creates the theme app embed and the Customer Events pixel. Both still need a one-time merchant enable. The Setup Guide dialog opens automatically and links directly into the right Shopify admin pages:
- Storefront Tracking app embed — Open Theme Editor → App embeds → toggle Storefront Tracking on → Save. Loads the tracking script on every storefront page.
- Customer Events pixel — Open Customer Events Settings → find the TrueTracked custom pixel → click Connect. Fires checkout events (begin checkout, purchase) from inside Shopify's checkout extension where the storefront script can't reach.
See Pixel Installation → Shopify for the full step-by-step.
What Happens After Connecting
- TrueTracked syncs your product catalog (variants, prices, SKUs) for cost tracking.
- Order webhooks are registered to receive real-time purchase data server-side.
- Theme app embed loads on the storefront once enabled in the Setup Guide.
- Customer Events pixel captures checkout events once published in the Setup Guide.

Managing Connections
Once connected, you can manage your integrations from the same Settings page:
- View status: Each integration shows a green dot when active or red when there's an issue (e.g., expired token).
- Add more accounts: For ad platforms, click Manage to add additional ad accounts under the same authorization.
- Disconnect: Click Manage on any integration, then use the disconnect option. This removes the stored credentials but does not delete historical data.
Troubleshooting
- OAuth redirect fails: Ensure pop-ups aren't blocked. Some browsers block the redirect window. Try again in a new tab or disable pop-up blockers temporarily.
- No accounts shown after authorization: Make sure you're logging in with the account that has access to the ad accounts. For Meta, ensure your Facebook user has the "Advertiser" role on the Business Manager.
- Integration shows error status: The API token may have expired or been revoked. Disconnect and reconnect the integration to refresh the authorization.
- Missing Shopify products after connecting: Click "Sync Now" in Cost Settings to trigger a manual product sync. Large catalogs may take a few minutes.
